Nikita Begins -- And We Have an Interview With Series Star Shane West
<p><img src="http://0.tqn.com/d/tvdramas/1/0/q/q/shanewestsm.jpg" alt="" hspace="5" align="right" />Each fall, there are a couple of new series that has people buzzing about months before the premiere and this year, the CW's <a href="http://tvdramas.about.com/od/nikita/p/Nikita-Synopsis-And-Essential-Information.htm"><em>Nikita</em></a> has grabbed quite a bit of attention -- mostly from fans of the original <em>La Femme Nikita</em> series who have been quite vocal about going forward with a reboot without series stars Peta Wilson and Roy Dupuis front and center.</p> <p>As a fan of the original series, I was prepared to dislike the reboot. Realizing that I needed to be objective, I watched the pilot episode and was shocked at what happened -- I thoroughly enjoyed the <em>Nikita</em> reboot! I believe I have met my newest addiction.</p> <p>We fell in love with him as Dr. Ray Barnett on <a href="http://tvdramas.about.com/od/er/p/erreviewsynop.htm"><em>ER</em></a>, and now Shane West has landed another fabulous role as the very mysterious Michael on <em>Nikita</em>. An Interview With Tiffany Hines (Jaden, Nikita)
<p><img src="http://0.tqn.com/d/tvdramas/1/0/p/q/tiffhines.jpg" alt="" hspace="5" align="right" />From <a href="http://tvdramas.about.com/od/90210spinoff/p/90210synopsis.htm"><em>90210</em></a> and <a href="http://tvdramas.about.com/od/melroseplace/p/melroseplacesyn.htm"><em>Melrose Place</em></a> to <a href="http://tvdramas.about.com/od/hawaiifive0/p/Hawaii-Five-0-Synopsis-And-Essential-Information.htm"><em>Hawaii Five-0</em></a>, the networks have been venturing into the reboot business in the last few years and although not all fans of the original have been enthusiastic, most can't help but feel a little nostalgic. The Fall Season Begins!
<p><img src="http://0.tqn.com/d/tvdramas/1/0/A/o/thecw-hellcatsm.jpg" alt="" hspace="5" align="right" />It seems like forever since our favorite shows wrapped up last May, so after a long summer of reruns, it's always nice when the fall season begins.</p> <p>The first show to <a href="http://clk.about.com/?zi=1/1hc&zu=http://tvdramas.about.com/od/tvshowsaz/a/fallpremiere07.htm">premiere</a> this fall is the CW's cheerleader drama <a href="http://tvdramas.about.com/od/hellcats/p/Hellcats-Synopsis-And-Other-Essential-Information.htm"><em>Hellcats</em></a>. The series, produced by <a href="http://tvdramas.about.com/od/smallville/p/smallsynopsis.htm"><em>Smallville</em></a>'s Tom Welling, centers around Marti Perkins, a college student forced to join the cheerleading squad after she loses her scholarship. <em>High School Musical</em> star Ashley Tisdale also stars in the series as Marti's new friend, roommate and fellow cheerleader.</p> <p>Is <em>Hellcats</em> worth your precious viewing time? What to Watch This Fall - The Best New Fall Television Dramas
<p><img src="http://0.tqn.com/d/tvdramas/1/0/C/q/eventcastsm.jpg" alt="" hspace="5" align="right" />Another summer has come and gone, and for TV fans, it's the most exciting time of the year because all our favorite shows are returning and a whole <a href="http://clk.about.com/?zi=1/1hc&zu=http://tvdramas.about.com/od/tvshowsaz/tp/new2010dramas.htm">new crop of dramas</a> will make their way into our living rooms.</p> <p>Sixteen new dramas will premiere over the next couple of months, many of them crime dramas and many of them airing at the same time as some of your returning favorites -- are any of them worth your precious viewing time? Is the invasion of crime dramas this fall going to forever turn us off to that tried and true genre? Glee Kids Heading to Springfield

In their quest for total world domination, the <em>Glee</em> kids are now going head to head with Homer, Bart and the rest of <a href="http://animatedtv.about.com/od/thesimpsons/p/simpsonsprofile.htm"><em>The Simpsons</em></a>.</p> <p>According to <a href="http://popwatch.ew.com/2010/09/01/glee-new-directions-get-simpsons-ized/"><em>THR</em></a>, Lea Michele, Cory Monteith and Amber Riley will make an appearance as their <em>Glee</em> characters Rachel, Finn and Mercedes, on the September 26 season premiere of <em>The Simpsons</em>. In the episode titled 'Elementary School Musical,' the characters will show up at Lisa's performing arts camp, where they'll be joined by Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie from HBO's <a href="http://tvcomedies.about.com/od/showsaz/p/flightconchords.htm"><em>Flight of the Conchords</em></a>.</p> <p>No word on what they'll be singing in the episode, but I wouldn't be surprised if they release the music on iTunes the following morning...</p> <p><em>Glee</em> <a href="http://clk.about.com/?zi=1/1hc&zu=http://tvdramas.about.com/od/tvshowsaz/a/fallpremiere07.htm">premieres</a> on September 21.</p> <p>^{©2010 Fox Broadcasting Co. FlashForward Arrives on DVD
<p><img src="http://0.tqn.com/d/tvdramas/1/0/l/q/FlashForwardCompleteSeries.jpg" alt="" hspace="5" align="right" />Everyone on the planet blacks out for 2 minutes and 17 seconds and sees 6 months into the future -- it was a premise that lured viewers in, yet those finicky Nielsen viewers didn't exactly flock to the exciting sci-fi series.</p> <p>When the series was first introduced, it was being touted as the <a href="http://lost.about.com/"><em>Lost</em></a> fans answer to the absence of the show. <a href="http://tvdramas.about.com/od/flashforward/p/flashforwsynop.htm"><em>FlashForward</em></a> was supposed to help fill that void <em>Lost</em> would leave for the millions of sci-fi fans preparing to grieve their beloved show. Those who saw the series through to the end were treated to loads of shocking twists and turns in each thrilling episode. Sadly, it just wasn't meant to be.</p> <p><em>FlashForward</em> may have been <a href="http://clk.about.com/?zi=1/1hc&zu=http://tvdramas.about.com/od/tvshowsaz/a/cancel0506.htm">canceled</a>, but it will live on forever on DVD... Jackson Rathbone Coming to No Ordinary Family
<p><img src="http://0.tqn.com/d/tvdramas/1/0/k/q/jacksonrath.jpg" alt="" hspace="5" align="right" />On the big screen, he plays vampire Jasper Hale in the <a href="http://movies.about.com/od/twilight/tp/twilight-movie-series.htm"><em>Twilight</em></a> saga, but Jackson Rathbone is heading to a small screen in a living room near you this fall.</p> <p><em>EW</em> <a href="http://clk.about.com/?zi=1/1hc&zu=http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2010/08/27/no-ordinary-family-jackson-rathbone/">reports</a> that the <em>Twilight</em> star is set to appear in at least one episode of ABC's promising new series <a href="http://tvdramas.about.com/od/noordinaryfamily/p/No-Ordinary-Family-Synopsis-And-Essential-Information.htm"><em>No Ordinary Family</em></a>. Rathbone's character is named Trent Stafford, a classmate of Daphne's (Kay Panabaker), who was a victim of a home invasion. 2010 Primetime Emmy Awards
<p><img src="http://0.tqn.com/d/tvdramas/1/0/a/q/leamichellesm.jpg" alt="" hspace="5" align="right" />The Emmys have arrived! Did your favorites take home the gold? Which television star rocked the red carpet best?</p> <p>As much as I loved <a href="http://clk.about.com/?zi=1/1hc&zu=http://tvcomedies.about.com/od/starprofiles/p/neilpatrickharris.htm">Neil Patrick Harris</a> as host last year, I have to say that <a href="http://clk.about.com/?zi=1/1hc&zu=http://talkshows.about.com/od/conanobrien/p/BioFallon.htm">Jimmy Fallon</a> was every bit as entertaining as NPH. The skits (especially the opening skit) were hilarious, and I loved his musical tributes to <a href="http://tvdramas.about.com/od/24/p/24synopsis.htm"><em>24</em></a> and <a href="http://lost.about.com/"><em>Lost</em></a>.</p> <p>After winning the Emmy for best male actor in a drama series three years in a row, <a href="http://tvdramas.about.com/od/breakingbad/p/breakbadsynops.htm"><em>Breaking Bad</em></a>'s Bryan Cranston has become the man to beat next year -- can Hugh Laurie, Jon Hamm or Michael C. Hall finally beat him? Which Leading Lady Should Win the Emmy?
<p><img src="http://0.tqn.com/d/tvdramas/1/0/M/q/juliannamargsm.jpg" alt="" hspace="5" align="right" />Two catch the bad guys and keep the streets safe, one lives for football, one makes enemies on a daily basis, another is living back in the '60s, while the other has had to pull her life together after her husband was involved in a very public sex scandal -- and all of them are going after the ultimate prize!</p> <p>Like the <a href="http://clk.about.com/?zi=1/1hc&zu=http://tvdramas.about.com/b/2010/08/26/which-leading-male-should-win-the-emmy.htm">leading men</a>, three of these ladies have become perennial Emmy nominees, but three lovely new ladies have entered the race, making the competition harder than ever this year...</p> <p>Who do I think should win?: <strong>Connie Britton</strong> (<a href="http://tvdramas.about.com/od/fridaynightlights/p/fridaynightligh.htm"><em>Friday Night Lights</em></a>) or <strong>Julianna Margulies</strong> (<a href="http://tvdramas.about.com/od/goodwifethe/p/goodwifesynops.htm"><em>The Good Wife</em></a>). After being snubbed year after year for her excellent work on the football drama, it would be nice to see someone off the beaten path win for a change. I jumped on <em>The Good Wife</em> bandwagon in <a href="http://clk.about.com/?zi=1/1hc&zu=http://tvdramas.about.com/od/tvsbestofthebest/tp/Great-Tv-Dramas-To-Catch-In-Reruns.htm">repeats</a> this summer and have been consistently entertained by this incredibly compelling drama, so I'd also love to see Margulies take home the gold for her amazing work.</p> <p>Who do I think will win?: <strong>Julianna Margulies</strong>. Which Leading Male Should Win the Emmy?
<p><img src="http://0.tqn.com/d/tvdramas/1/0/8/V/drcrabbypants.jpg" alt="" hspace="5" align="right" />One makes meth to support his family, one is a forensic expert by day and a serial killer by night, while another has traveled backwards, forwards and sideways -- which leading man is going to take home the gold this Sunday?</p> <p>Two years in a row, almost all of the same men were nominated for best actor in a drama series, but this year Matthew Fox (<a href="http://lost.about.com"><em>Lost</em></a>) and Kyle Chandler (<a href="http://tvdramas.about.com/od/fridaynightlights/p/fridaynightligh.htm"><em>Friday Night Lights</em></a>) have joined the race. Six extraordinary men are vying for the ultimate title and it's anyone's guess as to who will come out on top.</p> <p>Who do I think should win?: <strong>Matthew Fox</strong>. We knew back in the <em>Party of Five</em> days that this man had some serious acting chops, and he set the bar for his fellow castmates during his six years on <em>Lost</em>. While I love Bryan Cranston and Jon Hamm, I'd really love to see Fox get what he deserves now that the series has come to an end.</p> <p>Who do I think will win?: <strong>Michael C. Hall</strong>.
