Cadillac Escalade EXT Highlights

A Look Back at Ford's 5th Generation F-Series Trucks
<p><img src="http://z.about.com/d/trucks/1/0/o/L/1/68_ford_ranger_sm.jpg" border="0" alt="Chevy Avalanche Truck" hspace="5" width="170" height="119" align="left" />Ford introduced its 5th generation F-Series in 1967, offering trucks with flatter, more squared body lines than we'd seen in the past. Padded dashes and visors became standard equipment, and so did seat belts with shoulder-anchored harnesses. Improved safety features included new dual brakes, which prevented a localized problem from causing a total brake system failure. Engine choices remained unchanged for the first year of this generation, but were altered as the design moved forward to its final year, 1972. How to Get the Salt Out
<p>Although this year has been rough, we don't usually get a lot of snow where I live, nowhere near the amounts I saw growing up in Illinois, but they scatter salt and other chemicals down on the roads even if we get an eighth of an inch, because otherwise we'd be slipping and sliding off of our curvy, mountain roads. We're lucky though, because our salt events are fairly few and far-between. If you look at unrestored vintage cars that are for sale you can usually tell which ones came from either cold climates or the beach, because they're full of rust, courtesy of the salt it takes to keep drivers on the road in cold climates. Toyota Tacoma Drive Shaft Recall
<p>Toyota plans to recall about 8,000 2010 4WD Tacoma trucks. The new recall involves two groups of front drive shafts that might have developed cracks during production. With wear, cracked drive shafts could eventually separate at the universal joint. Technicians will check trucks to determine if an affected drive shaft is installed, and if parts should be replaced. 2010 Chevy Silverado 1500 Updates

Why Are Recent Recalls Creating Panic?
<p>If you've watched television, surfed the internet, picked up a newspaper or turned on your radio recently, you're no doubt aware of Toyota's recall to fix sticking accelerator pedals. The facts surrounding this recall have blossomed into a constant stream of breaking news, even though few vehicles have experienced the issue.
